In the long practice of China’s primary school composition teaching, many effectiveteaching modes have been explored. However, even today when new curriculum reform has beenimplemented for over a decade, many problems restricting the development of primary schoolcomposition teaching still haven’t been well resolved. Difficulties in composition teaching,writing and grading still exist. As for the effectiveness and efficiency of the two-hourcomposition teaching class, the effective mode well accepted hasn’t been reached yet.This study is a summary of the recent years’ composition teaching reform in the primaryschool where the author works, and it is also the analysis and discussion on the mode of “writingthe composition happily in limited time”. To solve the practical problems in primary schoolcomposition teaching, this study, with “happy and limits” as the breakthrough, is exploring amore scientific and effective mode of classroom teaching, in which students not only completehigh level articles with prescribed number of words but also conduct mutual evaluation within alimited time. This study also explores a new approach of alleviating Chinese teachers’ heavyburden of composition correcting and improving students’ composition ability.This paper consists of five parts:The first part introduces the background, the goal and significance and the method of theresearch, including the analysis of the literature reviews.The second part, with analysis of teaching mode of “happy composition in limited time”,this part elaborates the theory basis and the practice conception of the production of this model.The third part mainly introduces the fundamental procedure, implementing principles,implementing principles and process of the model.The fourth part introduces the achievements this model has made from the perspectives ofboth students and teachers.Finally, the analysis of the meaning and value of popularizing the model from theperspective of practice and the prospects of its operation is analyzed and summarized.
