Research On The Necessity Of Social Work Concepts And Methods Involving In College Counselor Counseling

In Chinese traditional education,the counselors work is in a very important position.The ideological education and the moral education are the important parts in the counselors work.Because of this kind of work,the college students’ ideological education and moral education could be effective for the purposes.The college students are very different from former college students now.With the influence of multiple factors,the focus of education of contemporary college students is not only ideological and political education and moral education,more important is to face the various problems faced by the students in the current situation.The counselors work in L University still continues the traditional counselors at present.But this kind of work can’t meet the demand of student,especially in the mental counseling of students.By the investigation of students’demand of psychological counseling in L University,I found that the counselors work can’t meet the demand,especially in psychological counseling.The students in L University want their counselors to have the abilities to work which have the values of humane care and certain professional skills in counselor psychological counseling.But the counselors work still remain in the traditional counselors work. There is still missing in counselors work in L University.In recent years,the social work rise gradually which colleges and universities also have a corresponding embodied.The school social work plays a complementary role in the work of the counselor to some extent.The idea,the values and the appropriate methods of work of school social work plays an important role for college counselors.On the one hand,school social work can help students to solve the problems which currently exist.On the other hand,the ideas and the values of school social work can make contributions to change the roles which the counselor used to have. More importantly, school social work can make counselors possess the necessary professional skills and methods when they need to deal with some technical problems such as psychological counseling in students.Also they can do better in dealing with problems and solving mental confusion in college students.In summary,school social work and college counselors mental work have a number of fit between.More importantly, the school social work values and working methods will provide a reference for the college counselor counseling work.So it is really necessary to let school social work get involved in the work of college counselors.
