The Research On The Perspective Of General Education In Ideological And Political Education

Since1990s, as the quality education has been advocated strongly in our countryand the general education which aims at the all-round development of human beings hasbeen attached increasing attention, ideological and political education in colleges anduniversities of our country starts to have a research with general education.Althoughgeneral education has not become the educational philosophy in our colleges anduniversities, our country still explores on it and puts it into practice. The Theoreticalconnotation and practical experience of general education has important enlightenmentin ideological and political education.Starting from the reality of the ideological and political education in colleges anduniversities, this thesis discusses the combination of possibility and inevitabilitybetween general education and ideological&political education. Meanwhile, thepeople-oriented and all-round development of human beings provides opportunities forit. And it has becomes a necessity for the combination of the two in ways of expandingeducational approaches, deepening the understanding of ideological and politicaleducation in colleges and universities, and improving the quality of ideological andpolitical education workers. Therefore, the general education can provide references forthe ideological and political education in aspects of curriculum, educational contentsand methods, campus culture, and the organization of the faculty. By advocating generaleducation it just offers a new perspective on the ideological and political educationrather than weakens or replaces the ideological and political education in colleges anduniversities. Furthermore, on the basis of mastering professional knowledge and skills,the general education pays more attention on humanistic concerns, and elevates thecomprehensive qualities of college students, so as to make them personality integratedand responsible.
