Track and field sport is walking, running, jumping, for these natural movement developed on the basis of sports, as the basis of other sports, the development of sports play a good role in promoting. Set of track and field course in common colleges and universities will directly affect the teaching effect and the realization of the overall goal. Long time ordinary university athletics teaching basic with every single item of track and field sports technology as the main content of learning, to develop students basic skills for a task, to the stand or fall of performance as the main basis of sports performance assessment. Leading to the development of college track and field course and setting up the affected, the number of students choose course of track and field year after year.This article through the literature material law, investigation method, logic analysis, mathematical statistics method to sports under the perspective of track and field course in common colleges and universities to carry out the study status quo and the curriculum.25colleges and universities in Chongqing,600students,20experts,20sports teacher has carried on the questionnaire survey, through the research analysis the following conclusions:(1) College teachers of track and field course many of them are focus on the student athletics level enhancement, ignore the other aspects of the increase, this kind of evaluation is not reasonable.(2) The national students’ physique monitoring data from2012, our country contemporary college students’ physical quality, endurance, flexibility, flexibility in gradually decline, stiff movements, speed is too slow to learn new technology, with its own reality doesn’t fit the age of physical indicators of each function.(3) Students choose not to track and field course teaching of track and field course because the traditional pay attention to the cultivation of the students’ skills, teaching methods, boring content, ignored the fundamental of track and field sports, fun and fitness function.(4) Students don’t like track and field sports and track and field course is the main reason of the traditional track and field course teaching focuses on a single competitive project, technology, backward teaching methods no innovation overlooked the interesting track and field sports and keeping fit is a main reason.(5) Students themselves, college physical education teachers factors, social sports environment, leading the importance of track and field course in colleges and universities are the main factors influencing the Chongqing college track and field curriculum.
