On Declination And Consolidating Self-criticism Spirit Of Contemporary Chinese University

University is an organization for people exploring profound knowledge and pursuit of truth, reflection, criticizing and pursuing truth are its abiding missions. And criticizing function is the parent function of an university, correspondent, criticism spirit as an ideological form of its parent function is a part of the spirits of an university, as Pierre Bourdieu says"a democratic society must encourage critical spirit, including self-criticism. For democracy, criticism is indispensable." The renewal of knowledge and social development are based on continual reflection and self-criticism. Affected by utilitarianism and instrumental ism, contemporary Chinese universities lost their self-criticism spirit and declined year by year in the period of social transition, and the culture, spirits and education of universities faced with the crisis of alienation.In view of the declination of contemporary Chinese universities, this paper attempts to token and reason this phenomenon, and makes proposals to summon the regression and promotion of self-criticism spirit of contemporary universities by four steps.Firstly, in the aspect of concept defining and dimensions dividing, analyze the positive significance and structure the pattern, logic, subjects and objects of self-criticism spirit through defining it.Secondly, in the regard of token and reasoning, token it as university spirits alienation,"macdonaldizationv of higher education, entertaining trend of higher education and the loss of responsibility of college community those four aspects.Thirdly, reason it as lack of humanistic spirit, utilitarian value orientation, insufficiency of life philosophy education and academic marginalization those four causes by analyzing related reference.Finally, at the part of proposing regressing and promoting ways, based on the token and reasoning above, accomplish the regression and promotion of the self-criticism spirit of contemporary Chinese universities through holding the spirit of university, instructive essence regression, think highly of life philosophy education and strengthen college community responsibility.
