| Resolution for Major Issues of Promoting the Reform of Culture System and theDevelopment and Prosperity of Socialist Culture by the Central Committee of theCommunist Party of China, a strategic decision of major political significance, passedat the6thplenary session of the17thcentral committee of the CCP when China isconfronting changes and challenges of home and abroad in new epoch. Meanwhile,the report given by the18thPeople’s Congress further explains the significance ofpromoting Socialism Culture to strengthen the country and decides to unite theconstruction of spiritual civilization with economic construction, political construction,social construction and the construction of ecological civilization into the generallayout Five-in-One. Culture is a significant source to a nation’s cohesion andcreativity, a significant factor in the competition of comprehensive national strengthand a significant support for the development of economic and society. Collegecampus culture is an important part of the Socialist Advanced Culture, so there isdoubt to be immovable on the issue that college campus culture construction shouldbe developing under the guidance of the Socialist Advanced Culture on thebackground of great development and prosperity of culture. Strengthening theconstruction of college campus culture is of great importance, not only for promotingthe development of higher education reform, strengthening and improving ideologicaland political education, but also comprehensively enhancing the overall standards ofcollege. The construction of spiritual culture should be regarded as the key point ofthe college campus cultural construction on the background of great development andprosperity of culture, meanwhile united with material culture, system culture andbehavior culture construction tightly.This paper starts with the characteristics of college campus culture in newepoch, focusing on the analysis of the present situation of college campus culture onthe background of cultural construction.The main part of this paper is divided into the introduction and the text, mainlyadopted the methods of literature research. The introduction devotes the researchbackground of this paper as well as the theoretical and realistic significance of this research, followed by extensive literature of the reviews from the main researchachievements of scholars home and abroad. The text is mainly made up by thefollowing four parts:The first part explains the concept of campus culture. Firstly, concerned aboutthe comprehensive concept about culture from scholars home and abroad as well asthe Marxism, the author presents a view that the narrow concept of campus cultureconstruction mainly focuses on the spiritual and cultural construction on thebackground of the development and prosperity of socialist culture. Secondly, explainsthe importance of the campus culture on the background of great development andprosperity of culture; analyses the connotation of the great development andprosperity of culture as well as the characteristics of campus culture; analyses therelations between the great development and prosperity of culture and campus cultureas well as the significance of carrying out the construction of campus culture.The second part analyses the present situation of campus culture on thebackground of the development and prosperity of culture. According to thecharacteristics of the campus culture in the new epoch as well as the achievementsand problems in the practices of campus cultural construction, the paper sticks to theconstruction of the spiritual culture, analyzing the reasons for those problemssystematically.The third part puts forward several strategies to solve the problems existing inthe construction of college campus culture. The point is to make arrangements for allthe aspects of culture construction, especially concentrating on the construction of thespiritual culture, by that way could the overall quality of the construction of campusculture be improved. |
