Secondary vocational education is to cultivate high-quality technical staff at thegrass-roots level of occupation education. Classroom teaching as a core part of schooleducation has a direct impact on the quality of the training. But a lot of problemswith management confuse classroom teaching. There is an urgent need to payattention to this issue, which has an important significance to improve the quality ofvocational education. So the writer takes QX Vocational School as an example tomainly study in perspective of complexity. On the basis of describing the Englishclassroom management’s complexity, thinking in systems can help us find a series ofclassroom management problems plaguing the teachers in the vocational school.By interviewing QX vocational teachers, we find that classroom is not only aphysical space composed of teachers and students, but also a unique socialorganization with complex, which makes the classroom management difficult. Thecomplex lies in the following, first, the subjective complexity: the amount ofinformation required to describe the problems and to deal with the problems, andthen the difficulty to make choice; Second, objective complexity: the structure ofmulti-layer, multidimensional function, and uncertain process. Through thinking insystems, we find the main problems of the QX vocational English classroommanagement, such as the classroom management philosophy, the lack of knowledgeof classroom management, the complexity of the managed object. Systems thinkingon these issues from the system mental models, system rules, system functions andsystem external environment. We can get the ideas to solve the problems.Studies on English Classroom Management of Secondary Vocational Schoolunder complex angle of view provide us a clearer way of thinking and understandingthe problems facing us, which could help teachers professional development,contributing to the implementation of the curriculum outcomes to the classroomteaching, and also to the advancement of content development and construction ofsecondary vocational schools.
