Research on “Guidance–discovery” Teaching Method and Practice in HighSchool History Teaching is an established research topic belonging to the “15” plan ofWuXi education science, JiangSu Province. The subject, starting from thecharacteristics of high school history education, tries to find the complementaritiesand balance between the teachers’ ability of guidance in history curriculum and thestudents’ ability of discovery by studying how senior students learn history currentlyto form stable and concise teaching theoretical framework and set a teachingmethod in high school history. Students can get much improvement in learninghistory, such as promoting students’ ability of remembering, understanding, thinking,and summarizing, so that they can get a good foundation for their independentlearning and personal development. This study is based on the basic educationcurriculum reform, quality-oriented education and the study of teaching mode whichis needed in history teaching. The purpose of this study is to know the problems ofhistory teaching at this stage and set an operational teaching method by surveyingand theoretical analyzing and put forward practical suggestions for future study inorder to promote the teachers’ and students’ development.The innovation of this paper lies in the teachers’ practice in history teaching ofYang Xian senior school, Yi Xing city, Jiangsu Province. In this paper, the feasibility andconcrete methods of this method will be discussed from the angle of development toknow further prospects of history teaching in high school and research prospects fordevelopment.The paper is divided into four parts. The first section introduces thesubject-Research on “Guidance–discovery” Teaching Method and Practice in HighSchool History Teaching and its research value. It also combs the relevant referencesfor the teaching methods in a high school history classroom.In the second part, the thesis defines the important concepts such as guidance,discovery and teaching methods. The theoretical basis of the "Guidance-found "teaching model and operating principles are established by combing the relevant references for the teaching pattern in a high school history classroom, build theoperational framework and some important concepts.In the third part, we will do research on teaching practice, point out theoperating points in high school history classroom application and present the cases,which are all on the basis of the" teaching mode theory”.The fourth section summarizes Guidance-found that "the practical effect ofteaching methods and successes as well as the revelation of the high school historyteaching, and practice of teaching methods for further reflection.
