Educational equality is not only an old topic,but also a real hot issue,and it is not only anindicator of the development of educational democracy,it also reflected and embodied ineducation where to begin and end.Educational equality includes the equality of educationalopportunity,the equality of educational process and the equality of educational outcomes.Withthe implementation of the nine-year compulsory education in a wide range,it ensures eachstudent enrollment of equality of opportunity in our country,but the result is far fromsatisfactory.It becomes a black box if we only discuss the equality of educational opportunityand the equality of educational outcomes.However,the inequality is precisely from theclassroom teaching process.This thesis consisted of four parts:The first part clarifies the origins and significance,reviews of related domestic andforeign research about classroom teaching equality,defines concepts related,describes themain theoretical basis,the way of thinking and the main research methods taken of this study.The second part is the investigation and analysis of classroom teaching equality status infour grades from three secondary schools in Haikou through questionnaire and othermethods.The survey results show:classroom teaching inequality in different schools,gradesand gender has a significant difference,teachers treat different types of students also have asignificant difference in the seating arrangement,teacher-student interaction,group discussions,knowledge acquisition,teaching evaluation,discipline,teacher-student relationship and soon.It’s obvious that exists inequality.The third part mainly analyses the factors of classroom teaching inequality in secondaryschools.This study suggests that the main influencing factors of the inequities in theclassroom teaching:systematical factors which are playing a guiding role,including socialvalue orientation,classroom functions and the objectives of school cultivation; implementationinteractive factors in the level of behavioral principle,including students andteachers;background classroom environment factors, mainly reflected in the limitations oflarge class.The fourth part puts forward strategies to promote the equality of secondary schools based on the existing problems and the reasons mentioned above:establishing the concept of"people-oriented" education,building equality social environment which is good for theimplementation of classroom teaching equality;changing the concept of students evaluationbased on scores,establishing the diverse evaluation system;implementing level teaching,giving the different types of students the right to participate in the classroom;enhancingteachers’ personal qualities, establishing democracy equal relationship between teachers andstudents; managing education by law,improving the students’ awareness of rights; arrangingclassroom seating reasonably,promoting the construction of small classes.
