| With the rapid development of embedded technology, the embedded system is used widely, especially ARM-embedded system in consumer electronic application field. The research on ARM-embedded system becomes one of the most popular directions.The research on VGA Display Interface of S3C2440-Based Embedded System is of great significance. It not only resolves the VGA display problem of S3C2440, but also provides a reference for other mbedded systems. For example, the mobile phones with small LCD screen can put out VGA signals to display on big screen with VGA interfaces.This thesis is focused on the design of S3C2440-Based Embedded System and its VGA Display Interface. Main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1) The history of ARM-Based embedded system and VGA display is introduced. The basic principle and timing request of VGA display are discussed in detail. The main technologys for embedded system’s VGA display with their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed.(2) The ARM-Based embedded system with S3C2440and the FPGA-Based system with EP2C8Q208are designed. There are SERIAL PORT, Ethernet INTERFACE, JTAG INTERFACE, LCD INTERFACE, VGA INTERFACE and USB with HUB in ARM-Based embedded system. There are LCD INTERFACE and VGA INTERFACE in FPGA-Based system. FPGA-Based system is used to transform LCD Interface into VGA Interface.(3) Each module in FPGA is designed in order to transform LCD Interface into VGA Interface. The LCD signals output by S3C2440will be transformed into new VGA timing signals within FPGA, and then be transformed into analog signal by DAC.(4) The parameter about Linux is set. The Linux system can run on the embedded hardware system. The system and interfaces are tested. The parameter about VGA display is explained. Meanwhile, the results of two VGA design schemes are compared. At last, the thesis gives the shortage of the research work. |
