Intelligent Transport System (ITS) is an integrated transportation and managementsystem, which is real-time, accurate and efficient. It integrates position and navigationtechnology, data transmission technology, control technology and computer networktechnology to the entire transportation management system. Vehicle Supervise System isone of the important components. With the rapid development of Internet technology and GIS technology, it is thetrends to use web pages displaying vehicle information, and provide users with query andbrowsing functions. The vehicle supervise center is the core of vehicle supervise system, which is a server for clients, including web pages, map information, etc. In all thethird-party map engines, Google Maps API is the most appropriate choice. This paper isabout the design and implementation vehicle supervise center, which is based on GoogleMaps. The hardware of the vehicle supervise center are: Web server, database server, module TC35, network interface card (NIC), etc. The Web server and database server isprovided by a PC, which has integrated NIC and connects with the TC35module throughserial port. The software part is below: Windows XP operating system which has installeda JVM (Java Virtual machine), the developing environment is MyEclipse, configuredTomcat. Database is MySQL, using MySQL-Workbench to design database. This paper proposes an implementation of a vehicle supervise center, based onkeytechnologies, such as the Google Maps API, GPS, GSM/GPRS, Tomcat and MySQL,etc. It does the overall design of the vehicle supervise center, and determines the B/Sdesign patterns and wireless communication. It makes detailed description andpresentation of software design, wireless design, information management and querydesign, Google Maps map tracking, image processing and display, alarm processing anddisplay and databasedesign, etc. The final test results prove that the design is feasible. Meanwhile, according to test results, it records the encountered problems and solutions, and makes some prospects to optimize the system.
