With the development of electronic technology,embedded image processingsystem more widely,both in traffic,military as well as consumer electronics andmany other fields,can see the image processing system-related products.Traditionalimage processing system with long development cycles,disadvantages such assoftware upgrades difficult and expensive,compared to embedded image processingsystem with its short development cycle,software upgrades,and low cost advantages,gradually replacing the traditional system of image processing and becoming thedevelopment trend of the industry.In the paper,a plan of image capturing system based on Linux operating systemand USB camera is proposed.For s3c2440as an embedded processor,combined withexternal SDRAM,Flash chips as Development Board core,on this basis,LCD screenand USB cameras are externaled,together,they make up an embedded imageprocessing system.at the same time,using free,open-source Linux as an operatingsystem,further reducing the cost of image processing systems.First of all,the background of subject research and embedded knowledge aredescribed in this paper;and then various modules of the whole system are analysedfrom a hardware perspective,including image acquisition modules,image processingmodules,memory modules,program module,and image display module five parts;In the next, the transplant of system is introduced;At last,the writing of driverprogram and application program are introduced from a software perspective.In the all,the main work of this paper can be summarized as follows:1.introduction to theory of embedded knowledge.2.the overall framework of system hardware and the introduction of mainmodules.3.the process of system transplantation,including the production and installationof cross compile chain,the U-boot and kernel transplant,the construction andtransplant of root file system.4.the introduction of USB camera driver.5.the compile of application program of image acquisition and display....
