Rural water supply is closely related to people’s life, the project of safety rural drinking water is the people’s livelihood project that the countries solve the drinking water problem in the vast rural areas. The paper researches and develops the remote water supply monitoring system suited to rural water stop, focused on the management and use of water supply in rural water stop, combined with the embedded technology, GPRS wireless communication technology and so on. This thesis based on the ARM9processor and GPRS wireless communication technology, designs hardware circuit and application to meet rural water stop monitoring system, and analyzes characteristics of the pressure, flow rate, voltage and current data needed for the rural water stop remote monitoring.In the aspect of hardware design, this paper designs the analog data acquisition, the digital quantity acquisition circuit, power circuit, reset circuit, RS232serial interface circuit, RS485serial interface circuit and other circuit. In order to meet the wireless remote monitoring function, and using GPRS wireless transmission way, this paper using DTU realizes the GPRS communication module, completes the water station remote terminal ARM motherboard, DTU module hardware circuit design and debugging.On the software side, this paper completes the software design of the rural water station remote monitoring system, and establishes on the basis of the Linux operating system software platform, and introduces the establishment of embedded Linux development environment, Bootloader clipping and transplantation, the Linux kernel clipping and transplantation. Based on the Linux operating system, this paper designs and developments the application suited for the remote monitoring system of the rural water stop. According to the results of data analyzed from the remote terminal, this paper has completed the project design of the remote monitoring center for rural water station, and established the whole remote monitoring system of rural water stop.This paper has established the ARM9master control board and DTU module connection relations, realized the data collected GPRS wireless communication through the DTU module and realized the main functions of the remote monitoring system of the rural water stop.
