Under the impact of the financial crisis, the overall performance of listed companiesdeclined, but the company did not fall but rise executive pay in2008, listed companies rose12.21%executive pay, executive pay has once again become a hot issue (Yi name,2009).View from the existing literature, research focuses on executive pay,executive pay andcompany performance relationship, such as CEO pay and corporate performance interactiveeffect of positive test (Xing,2003) and the executive management of listed companies theincentive performance-related empirical analysis (Zhang Junrui,2003). From anotherperspective to this study the issue of executive compensation, executive pay will be the basisfor growth and must be compared, if the former than the latter, the self-identified as executivepay, on the basis of this definition, research executives self-pay level and influencing factors.Modern enterprise should be a benefit counterparts’ enterprise, in the situation ofconsidering other stakeholders’ benefit insufficient, top management of listed companiespossibly consider their own benefit primordial, in this text, and we define this behavior as theself interest behavior in management salary. According to2005-2007data from listedcompanies in Shanghai and Shenzhen analysis found that state-owned enterprises and nonstate-owned enterprises there is a more serious self-serving executive pay, externalgovernance mechanisms, internal governance mechanisms, and in-service operatingconditions of three of these inhibitors may have a certain influence on self-serving aspects ofexecutive compensation. So we suggest that regulations should be implemented to regulatemanagement salary.
