Research On Resettlement Compensation Issue About Urban Village In Chongqing

With the rapid growth of urbanization in China, cities in China have beensprawling, which leads to a so-called "urban village" fact. Essentially speaking, thisfact originated in the urban-rural dual structure. This "urban village" fact has shownspecial characteristics in economy, society and spatial structure, taking negative effecton the urban economy and whole performance. While this research is complicated anddifficult to deal with, especially for Chongqing, at the initial step, a growing number ofissues have occurred, most concerning on resettlement stage. Resettlementcompensation has broken out many conflicts of interest, which is the crux in thisproblem. this thesis mainly research urban village in main districts of Chongqing cityand analyze its problem in demolition process, which could provide policy reference tothis reformation. The outline of this thesis consists of three parts: set problem thenanalyze it and finally solve it. The main issue concentrates on analysis part, which isbased on game theory. The current performance in transformation has many challenges,which includes unconscionable compensation, misplaced settlement, opaque operationmechanism and other issues. All of these issues result from specificity deletion inoperational resettlement compensation code. This thesis provides some proposals ofrecommendation for improvement of this code to explore the tripartite win road amonggovernment, habitants and the beneficiary from demolition.
