We carry out a comprehensive in-depth study on the development of marineeconomy in Zhejiang province, one of three marine economic development demonstration, whichcan provide reference for the future development of marine economy in Zhejiang province.This article first defined the maritime economy, the marine industry and the other relatedconcepts, this article absorb and draw on theory and method, so as to establish the theoreticalsystem of marine economic research. On this basis, Using spatio-temporal evolution analysismethod, combining the marine economic and marine industry development of reality of China andthe Zhejiang Province, a reasonable choice to reflect the indicators of the level of development ofmarine economy and marine industry, quantitative analysis of the evolution of the level ofdevelopment of marine economy and the major marine industry development of Zhejiang Province,and using the trend analysis method, and index smooth method to make a scientific prediction onthe future development of marine economy of Zhejiang province. So we can summarize that themarine economy of Zhejiang Province already had a high proportion of the national marineeconomy and the province national economy; Categories of marine industry of Zhejiang Provincehave been gradually completed, strong developed momentum in various marine industries and themarine industrial structure had more reasonable. Some industry occupied an important position inthe industry of the country, while the emerging marine industry developed slowly; the marineeconomy of Zhejiang Province will be developed faster and better in the next few years. The second, this article through using the method of static analysis, indicators of changes ofthe industrial structure, industrial structure by entropy index, comparing labour productivity growthand industrial structure by wave analysis, quantitative analysis the development of the marineindustry of Zhejiang Province and the other10provinces and cities, the scale of the marineindustry second only to the Guangdong, Shandong, Zhejiang, Shanghai, ranked fourth; the marineindustrial structure changes of Zhejiang Province had in secondary locations throughout thecountry and aboved the national average, relative to the other10provinces and cities, the marineindustrial structure had been adjusted largely and advanced, the proportion of the marine firstindustry had been gradually reduced and the second and the third industry continued to increase;little fluctuation of marine industrial structure, high stability, industrial structures efficiencysignificantly.Lastly, this article through using the method of grey correlation analysis, determine theleading industry in the future development of marine economyof Zhejiang Province. They aremarine transportation, marine engineering, marine shipping industry. According to the marineresource of Zhejiang province and the marine economy development situation presented toconstruct three characteristics marine economic zone. They are Ningbo and Zhoushan marineeconomic zone, Wen-Tai marine economic zone and Jia-Shao-Hang marine economic zone.
