Research On Tibetan Incense Industry Based On Theory Of Labor Division

National culture resource is copious in China. All the ethnic minorities own itsspecial cultural characteristic. There are many kinds of handicraft product whichdistinctive and had big chance in development. Most of them are in the list of the keydevelopment industry. Takes Tibet as an example, this paper research the Ethnic artsdevelopment from the point of division of labor. The history of exquisite nationalityhandicraft industry is long in Tibet. Successive local governments place importanceon it. The national handicraft industry is important in Tibet social economy. As one ofthe “three traditional industries”, it’s also named in the six pillar industries in the“tenth five year plan” and the strategic industries in the “eleventh five year plan”. TheTibet national handicraft industry not only plays an important role in the socialeconomy but also promote the tourism, foreign trade and the agriculture and animalhusbandry. It owns the advantages: less investment, big profit, great variously,flexible organization and labor intensive. All these characters made it to be the keyindustry to increase social welfare and maintain social stability. Although the Tibetnational handicraft industry weigh important in the social economy and get supportfrom the government policies the modernize level of the factories in this industry inuneven. Because of the intense competition some of the handicraft producers andeven the whole trade are replaced by the industrial products. Some techniques are onthe verge of extinction for the lack of heir.Description the Tibetan incense industry, classification the enterprises,measurement the degree of labor division for the four kinds industries, analysis thechoice for labor division with game theory and explants the present situation ofTibetan incense industry. Through analysis and calculate, this paper gets the degree oflabor division for different type firms and establish the relationship model for labordivision degree, cost and profit. The analysis conclusion is: the cost and profitincreases as the degree of labor division increases. At present, none firm’s degree oflabor division achieves the maximum profits’ requirement. By the research for Tibetanincense with game theory, this paper comes to the conclusion: the first two speciesTibetan incense firms tend to simply increasing the degree of division of labor in theproduction process because of the constraints of capital and resource whichintensified the competition in the market. The fourth kind firm will face more fierce competition in the future, as its high profit attracting other manufacturers. It’s alsorepresents the development mode for all the handicraft industries.The problems that the Tibetan incense firms face are really reprehensive. In orderto promote the rapid development of the industry, the government should create a niceeconomic and financial environment and introduce professional management talent,the national handicraft firms can develop scientific and sustainable.
