In recent years，As the economy development and people’s continuous pursuit ofindividuation，the demand of backpacking travel is growing everyday．However, as theresult of the more and more accidents about the backpacker tourism, so the safety ofbackpacker tourism is attracting wide attention in China．It has become a hot topic abouthow to guarantee the safety of backpacker tourism and how to avoid the risk of travel．This paper conducted a comprehensive investigation and study the theory as wellas the practice of domestic backpacker tourism development．On the basis of this，itpointed out that safety of backpacker tourism is an outstanding issue in the developmentof the backpacker tourism． The author carried out the interpretation on available datacollected currently，vividly demonstrated the hard situation of the safety of ourcountry’s backpacker tourism.At the basis of China’s backpacker tourism actual situation，This paper gave themethod that how to solve the safety issues backpacker tourism in China：“6+1”+2safetyguaranteeing mechanism of backpacker tourism．“1” meaned the backpacker is thekey of safety guaranteeing mechanism, and the “6”meaned backpacker tourism safetypublicity and education system，backpacker tourism safety alarming system，backpackertourism safety monitoring system，backpacker tourism safety rescuing system andbackpacker tourism security insurance system.“2” meaned that to enable theguaranteeing mechanism to be brought into effect， the author tried to improvebackpacker tourism safety policies and regulations and give the governmentmulti-sectoral and three-dimensional cooperating mechanism of backpacker tourismmanagement.
