The textile/garments sector has seen numerous changes, some of the more important include the process of delocalization of the production, which brought to the attention the reclassification and redefinition of the business model; the research and development of bigger and larger networks of relationships push companies to extend contacts and change the core variables; the continuous developments of the service sector and all of the intangible processes of production and distribution; the innovation of the working/labor and raw material cycles; and the dimensions of the international dynamics and the growing weight of transport and logistics.The main objective of the study is to demonstrate how the interaction between the organization of freight transport and the production of textile and clothing industry in Asia was ensured thanks to the role of intermediaries specialized in logistics and transportation, and also how the internationalization of these players has contributed to the development in the textile and clothing industry, increasing the overall efficiency of the production system in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.The main objective of the thesis is to analyze the link between globalization (especially the relocation of production activities), outsourcing of transport and international transport operators.
