Cruising is treated as high grade travelling products. As thefast development of Chinese economy and people’s living standards is raising,People’s demand of high standerd tourism.Cruise be born in North America of 1950’s.Cruise is becoming a mature industry. And China is still at the first step who is provide the calling port service. The current situation faced by China’s development of the cruise:(1) Chinese cruise market potential is huge; (2) Chinese cruise home-port is developing; (3)Outer rapidly troop in Chinese market to snatch the cruise development opportunities.Aim to the current situation of cruise development, the study of cruise route planning is still less at home and abroad. The reason writer choose this direction to do the research is aimed to fill the domestic blank in this field, and also hope this article could provide some value for Practical Operation. In this paper, Writer make an overview of cruise industry, mainly from the general development and introduce the development of the cruise port and the factors which should be taken into account of selecting the calling ports. Then make an overview of the cruise route including following parts:cruise routes, definitions, classifications, the way to operate, the development trend of cruise network as well as cruise route planning theory.Writer adapts to two-step modeling of route planning strategies to set the model, the first step is select the calling ports, It is the knapsack problem; and then choose the order of ports to call, namely the traveling salesman problem. According to above theory, the objective function and constraints are setted. In the example, writer use LINGO11.0 to run the model, then get the cruise route optimization results. This article compares the two programs to get the plan of cabin allocation.According to the average price, writer find it will cause the waste to increase the degree of cruise cabin. In this study, the significance of the route optimization is very large, this study need to be considered in the design process of the entire route ports of call selection, anchored to the order of arrangement, cabin allocation, and a series of problems with the actual environment is closer to this conclusion, we can see, the results thus obtained are more realistic for the cruise company in terms of this optimization program allows companies to increase profits and reduce costs at the same time.
