The Behavior Research On Participative Subjects Under Highway Design-build General Contracting Mode

Design-build general contracting mode is not a new type of contract mode fromthe point of view of the theory. But it still belongs to the early stage in the use of ourcountry,especially in highway engineering construction, also it is a tentative stage. Thebiggest change in angle of management of DB mode is choosing a enterprise or aconsortium bear to finish the project, compare with the traditional mode ,which is outto different subjects after preliminary design completed. This paper focuses on the keybehavior of main paticipative subjects, including owner, general contractor andsupervision. After that, the correlative behavior of each other is discussed using thetheory of game, at last game balance is found out. I hope it can be helpful for thesubsequent research.In this paper the research content of each participative subuject was not all butimportant aspect. For the owner, in view of the difficulty of tender in the DB mode,especially the formation of preliminary design documents, it focused on what isincluded and the depth of preliminary design documents, in addition to therequirements of the potential bidders. According to the basic situation of construction,a contractor’choice model was established after considering about the factors. For DBgeneral contractor, in addition to determine the contractor’s responsibility, the mostimportant thing is to solve the internal communication and coordination of design andbuild unit, for created a harmonious project implementation environment. Forsupervision, it analyzed the new characteristics of supervision in highway DB mode,the differences to traditional behavior, design supervision and investment control in thephase of design. Finally, it analyzed the relevant behavior of three parties using theasymmetric information game and dynamic game according to the method ofcombination of quantitative and qualitative analysis, then got the equilibrium state.Because the participants mentioned in this paper is quite a few, the contentofresearch focused on reflect key behaviors that the study is not comprehensive. Theresearch point is created in the background of xinjiang G314 line library of highwayprojects, so it can provide some guidance to the similar projects.
