The overall context of the transition period in China, the economicstructure, social structure and cultural values are unprecedented changes in theconstruction of the various institutional mechanisms failed to keep up with the pace ofeconomic development, resulting in some companies in the pursuit of their ownprofits at the same time, ignore the moral accountability, and endanger the health ofthe masses of the people, property safety, and greatly hindered the development ofsociety.Corporate ethics and responsibility is the production operations and otheractivities should bear the responsibilities and obligations of the social interests ofemployees, customers, society and environmental protection. As one of the mostimportant social organization, in pursuit of profit is the basic attributes of corporateprogress and social development of the power source, the legitimate pursuit of theirown interests to maximize the worth of social affirmative. Similarly, the enterprise asa social organization to play the role of the social man, society is the fundamentalproperty. Form and behavior of the personification of the existence of freedom ofchoice to determine the enterprise also has the nature of society, enterprises also needmoral constraints and constraints, consciously adjust their business values,compliance with the ethical norms of society to bear the moral responsibility. Inaddition, companies bear the moral responsibility, not just social enterprisesmandatory requirements, the deeper is the needs of the enterprises own rapiddevelopment.In this paper, divided into four parts, the first part starting from the concept ofcorporate ethics and responsibility, elaborated on the connotation of corporate moral responsibility, classification, from the source to tease out a clear framework of moralresponsibility. The second part is one of the key enterprise of contemporary peoplefrom all walks of life to bear the moral responsibility of the main qualificationscontroversy as a starting point leads to the Why do companies have to bear the moralresponsibility, mainly from three aspects of the reason to exist of corporate moralresponsibility. The third part is to write the current status quo of China’s enterprises totake moral responsibility, that the problems that exist in the current situation and theirreasons. The fourth part is another focus of this article, take the initiative to assumemoral responsibility to encourage enterprises to actively create a favorable externalenvironment, fostering internal ethics atmosphere.
