| With the rapid development of the aviation industry, airport plays a more significant role in promoting the regional economy and the regional industrial structure. The capital airport is richly endowed by nature resource advantage in all aspects. With the expansion of the scale of the capital airport, the considerable growth of passengers and freight traffic and the unceasing development of the route network, the capital airport gradually produced profound influence on the economic development and industrial structure of its surrounding areas.The paper discusses the theory of industry chain and the airport economic theory, and then summarizes foreign and domestic characteristics of airport area’s industrial structure. Then, the paper analyses the mechanism of airport’s impact on regional industrial structure in the airport business’s eyes. The focus of this paper is to make an analysis of the capital airport’s influence on the regional industrial structure, combined with the reality of capital airport. This region is divided into two levels in the paper: micro and macro. The micro level is the Capital Airport Economic Zone and the macro level is the city of Beijing. The paper has the conclusion: the basic causes and motivation of the regional industrial structure the Capital Airport Economic Zone’s changes is the capital airport’s development. Under its influence, the capital airport of region industry structure is optimized ceaselessly. The capital airport has an indirect influence on the industrial structure in Beijing city through business volume growth. Depending on the airport, the capital airport brings certain promotion and optimization function to the city’s economy development and industrial structure.This paper combines the project research which author participated in, and integrates use of some disciplines such as macroeconomics, microeconomics, regional economics and transportation economics. |
