In today’s society, knowledge and technology determine the world economy, airtransport features make it the darling of the new era of economic and trade patterns. Airtransport natural heart-the airport perimeter inevitable emergence of industrial agglomeration,in order to stimulate economic development in the surrounding areas, so the airport economycame into being, will follow the airport economic zone is a new regional economic model.Today, the huge benefits and the leading role of the airport economic zone have on thesurrounding area have been found and concern governments around the world. In this paper,the theory airport economic development and the construction of the airport economic zonefor the study, according to airport economic development indicators of the impact factor, theuse of economic geography, human geography and quantitative geography and other relatedtheories, research scholars at home and abroad the basis of the results, for the construction ofairport economic development in Dalian airport economic zone as well as to evaluate andmake recommendations.Firstly, the analysis of the background and significance of the airport economicdevelopment and airport economic zone on the basis of domestic and international airporteconomic theory to sort out and evaluate relevant to understand the meaning of airporteconomic and airport economic zone and domestic and foreign scholars in the study of thetheoretical results obtained. According to basic research literature, the airport economicdevelopment is divided into three stages, three modes, and divided by three spatial structureof the layout of the airport economic zone.Then, based on the foregoing, the factors affecting the airport economic development isdivided into three items: a regional basis conditions, the airport’s own conditions and regionaleconomic development conditions, the analysis describes three indicators Dalian airporteconomic development, the use of Granger causality test to verify the conditions of regionaleconomic development of the three secondary indicators: foreign trade, influence GDP andper capita GDP of airport economic development, and identified three of the airport economicdevelopment has a significant role in promoting. Finally,"polarized core, axial propulsion,cluster development," the airport economic trends.
