Analysis On The Forming Mechanism Of Traffic Tourism Belt

The relevance of transportation and the development of regional tourism has been an important issue which includes how transportation influences and acts on regional tourist development as well as the relation between transport and the formation of tourist spatial structure. This paper put forward the concept of "Traffic Tourism Belt" to illustrate two parts of this issue. Many academicians did researches on the influence of transportation development on the development of regional tourism, and they also acknowledged the phenomenon of tourism industry assembled along transportation routes; however, there is not an exact concept to explain this phenomenon. Based on relevant theories such as Pole-Axis Theory, Growth Pole Theory etc, this paper tries to summarize the concept and characteristics of Traffic Tourism Belt and forming mechanism of it. It is hoped to provide reference to the implementation of pole-axis tourism development and growth of tourism industry in axis zone area. This paper has6chapters, and the main contents are as followingsChapter1is the introduction of the paper. This chapter makes notes on research background, research purposes, research significance, research method and structure of this paper.Chapter2summarizes basic theories including Pole-Axis Theory, Growth Pole Theory and Traffic Economic Theory. The last part of this chapter is a review on the domestic and international research on the relevance of transportation and tourism.Chapter3defines the concept of Traffic Tourism Belt, analyzes its three constituent elements and characteristics of its nature, and divides Traffic Tourism into4types.Chapter4is the core part of the paper. Firstly, this part summarizes the formation factors affecting the development of Traffic Tourism Belt. Secondly, analyzes the forming mechanism of Traffic Tourism Belt. Thirdly, analyses the forming mechanism of different types of Traffic Tourism Belt.Chapter5is a case study. This part analyses space-time evolution of the tourism belt along Zhengzhou-Xi’an high-speed railway.Chapter6is the conclusion and prospect. This part summarizes the research results and lists the limitations of this paper and future trends in this field.
