Coal plays a major role in China’s energy structure, which weights more than70%.China has become the biggest coal production and consumption country in the world, however, In China, the coal supply and requirement is unbalanced, which led to the in ’North Coal to South, West Coal to East’passages formed. Coal transportation has become main bottleneck of production and consumption. Therefore, the reliability and adaptability of coal transportation network has become a focus in this field.The reliability of complex networks is the hot topic in today’s academic field, which is widely used in railway network, public transit network, Aviation network and etc, only very few papers focus on the regional road network with complex network theory.Take into account the two points above, this paper takes Shanxi coal transportation road network as the example, studies the reliability of coal transportation road under different attack modes. The main points are presented as follows:first of all, based on the principle that structure determines the nature, the modeling method and process of the road network in the area is studied. Through the calculation and analysis of static characteristics value, we make the conclusion that shanxi coal transportation network is a random network. Then, based on the principle of the reliability indicators related to complex network, two indicators is mentioned from the local and whole perspective. Finally, based on the MATLAB simulation program, the static structure of model including weighted network is emulated under different attack modes, the paper comparatively points out the critical nodes and critical edges.The result will provide a hand for road network management personnel to prevent the intrusion and damage to coal transportation network, also gives some suggestions about road planning and construction, which has great practical significance.
