S company design and product optical finger navigation module, and the moduleS company made is mainly used in mobile phones. Currently, to expand the market, Scompany plan to put the module used in the automotive field. However, the reliabilityrequirements of automotive products are rigid more than the phone. In order tounderstand whether S company’s module to achieve the reliability requirements ofautomotive, we have to do a series of related quality analysis and relatedenvironmental testing.This paper focuses on the reliability of the optical finger navigation moduleprocess. We collect quality issue from the market, end users, and do Design andProcess Potential Failure Mode&Effect Analysis. Through above analysis, we canconfirm the frequency happened and impact assessment. After make an understandingfor the failure, we will establish the reliability project of environmental testing for themajor failure. Through project management methods, establish the reliability of theprogram launched, planning, implementation, control, finishing with five actualprocess simulation module accelerated life test. Thus we can concluded that theoptical finger navigation modules S company designed and produced basically meetthe reliability requirements of automotive parts, especially the main components ofthe optical finger navigation like Sensor IC, VSCEL and housing. In addition to HighTemperature Humidity Operating Environment Test, Top Reflector took off fromLight Guide to stick inner the Housing and affects the product functionality. TopReflector stick on the Light guide through the sticky adhesive, indicating the glue Top Reflector used cannot meet the reliability of automotive environmental testingrequirements.The corrective action need to focus on the choice of the glue, choose a type ofglue to adapt to85C temperature and85%humidity requirements. The project aimsis that we can make an confirmation if the optical finger navigation S companydesigned and produced qualification meet the automotive reliability requirement ofaccelerated environment test through a number of reasonable critical opticalautomotive reliability environmental test for finger navigation module. At the sametime, we can confirm the actual quality level of the module. Thus we can hold thebroader market, but also it is good for us that we can make a control the modulequality from development and production two aspects. However, we just chooseseveral test not all, mainly consider below two points: firstly, our module was newlydesign. They have run in the market for one year that enough indicated our modulehas a steady and good quality. Secondly, save the cost. We just want to make aprimary confirmation, understand if current design can meet the automotive reliabilitytest requirement.Project definition is a specific one-time, multi-task work that needs to completea quality performance requirement in the time and budget.[9]This paper introducesreliability interspersed development at home and abroad during the optical describesreliability test process research on Optical Finger Navigation in the process, thepurpose, background and significance of project selection.
