The market competition is actually the competition among supply chains. While in the performance of a supply chain, product quality affects the effective operation of supply chain in a great extent, and then formed a quality chain centered on the product quality. At present, the global product quality emerging questions constantly, such as a series of "poisonous milk powder" incident,"automobile recall","food security" issues, etc., there has attracted worldwide attention to the product quality. Today, various countries and regions will attach great importance to product quality and service quality, and are trying to find ways to improve product quality and service quality and the effective ways to meet customer expectations and requirements constantly.Quality chain management mode is still in the early developing stages based on supply chain operation model. Quality management of the supply chain still focuses on the internal quality chain management of member enterprises, the external quality chain management is a kind of management of behind a wall, and the conduction of the quality between member enterprises is less involved. Based on this kind of operation mode, once a link of supply chain upstream occurrence quality problem or deviation, that is likely to lead to serious quality problems on downstream link, eventually lead to the failure of the whole quality chain, forming the "bullwhip effect" of quality chain. The failure of quality chain will lead to the corresponding operational risks in the supply chain, so the quality chain failure analysis and risk research has become a key problem of supply chain operation. Any part in the quality chain appears quality problem, all can lead to the collapse of the whole quality chain. Once the organization’s quality chain interruption and this situation is known to the public, the reputation and business performance of the core enterprise in the supply chain and supply chain members will be seriously affected.In domestic and overseas, academic and industry have carried out some research on failure analysis and risk research of the quality chain. Research on failure analysis, the more is analysis of failure mode and the damage degree of the product by some failure analysis tools in reliability theory, then based on the harm degree to implement prevention, in recent years also expand to the failure analysis of supply chain, and the study of failure analysis highlights the failure of product function, less involved in the failure of product quality formation process. Research on the risk evaluation, mainly based on a particular scene, from the risk composition、warming and protection of evaluation, has not been further for different failure modes corresponding to different risk warming and prevention. In recently, the failure analysis and risk management research is often isolated, and limit to improve the effect of the play, also lead to the root of failure analysis and risk management lack of effectiveness. Because a system failure modes corresponding to different risk levels. Therefore, in order to better explore the mechanism of manufacturing quality chain risk, this paper combine the failure analysis and risk assessment to research, with core manufacturing enterprise in the supply chain as the research object. Firstly, identify the failure and risk factors of manufacturing quality chain, on the basis of further tapped the failure mechanism of failure factors, apply FMEA method to build failure and risk index system of manufacturing quality chain combined with BOM ideological. Secondly, do risk analysis on failure mechanism and failure factors through DEMATEL method based on failure, clear their risk level, and discusses the relationship with the RPN value, based on the research of the risk mechanism to reduce the failure mode of the system, and to emphasize product failure factors and risk issues of the core manufacturing enterprise in the supply chain, it is concluded result that the different failure modes corresponding to different degree of hazard and risk index, based on the failure mode prevent path of risk is more in line with the practical operating than the failure mode prevention based on hazard. Finally, the use of the method is illustrated by a case. By using the related theory of reliability to do the division of risk rating under the failure analysis for manufacturing quality chain, provide a way to ensure the stability of product quality on the supply chain.
