In the period of social transition, China is facing many problems, whichcontain the incident of Foxconn. Foxconn has important influence on thedevelopment of economy and society as the leader of foundry corporate. Thereare fourteen workers’ suicide in Foxconn less than a year, which attractsattention widely in society. Scholars also explained incident from differentsides,such as the management system, cultural differences, media responsibility,labor union functions and so on. Thesis exposes corporate culture factors ofFoxconn incident according to anglicizing interviews, questionnaires,undercover notes.In the analysis of the values conflict, thesis describes different valuesbetween Taiwan’s employees and local employees and analyzes the reasons fromhistory, geography and cross-cultural theory, then thesis discusses the effect thatcultural conflicts have on Foxconn’s workers.In the analysis of military management, firstly thesis shows performancesof military management from daily management of corporate and other aspects,secondly, thesis elaborates causes of military management according toFoxconn’s leader and the new generation of workers, finally, thesis describesmilitary management has affected the workers’ awareness of thinking, behaviorand values, it is the personal experience of workers, which became an importantfactor of tragedy.In the analysis of alienation of labor, thesis establishes that workers’conditions, mental state and others are in line with Marx’s description of thealienation of labor, and concludes that alienation of labor is also hidden in theFoxconn internal corporate culture according to Georg Lukacs’ materializedtheory and general theory. Alienation of labor affects workers deeply, harmsworkers’ initiative, creativity, and undermines workers’ rights, Causes strongdoubts that workers have confronting life, reality, space, thesis points out the link between alienation with suicide according to Zizek’ explanation on realityand fantasy.Foxconn’s issue is not just corporate responsibility, thus, thesis proposescountermeasures to solve problem from the responsibilities of governmentdepartments, the creating of corporate culture, workers’ initiative and so on,admittedly, Foxconn pursues efficiency and has cost advantage in the course ofbusiness, which has made brilliant achievements, but all of these build on thebasis of value conflict, military management, labor alienation. Value conflict isthe origin of incident, military management is the internal driving force ofincident, the alienation of labor is the direct cause of incident, which are hiddenin complex exteriors, so researchers need a critical spirit to confront incident,thesis points out a new avenue of research, which not only conforms the trendstudying in culture and Marxist theory but also has practical significance toavoid similar incidents.
