Research On Tourism Poverty Alleviation Model

It is a new topic in recent years in the world to link the tourism with aiding the poor directly. Amongthem, International Development Authority of Britain put forward Pro-Poor Tourism in80’s of20century(PPT) is a representative, known as the tourism faceing the poverty population. This research known as theAiding the Poor by Tourism in our country. Means the more abundant poverty-stricken area in the touristresources mainly, people develop vigorously tourism. As soon as possible translate resources superiorityinto economy superiority. It is a new pattern of region economy in order to helping the poverty populationshake off poverty and become richness. Eliminating poverty is the request of constructing a harmonioussociety, also was the major issue that the Chinese government exerts to solve for recent years. Since thereform and open policy for30years, aid-the-poor project of China has experienced three stages, includingthe first stage of structural reform promoting poverty relief, the second stage of development-orientedpoverty relief, and the third stage of tackling key problems of poverty relief. The tourism development, asone of the ways of tackling key problems of poverty relief, is considered as the best one.Lushan is a national-level poverty-stricken county, in recent years, the government department cometo realize that the unique advantage of tourism development, in the influence of the strategy “Tourism makeprovince”,come up the strategy of “Tourism make county”,and has begun to the development of localtourism. Hot spring tourism, as a new way of tourism, has characteristics of quick investment effect andhigh community participation, is a good breakthrough of pro-poor tourism, has enrolled in the developmentplan of “Buddha, Mountain, Hot spring”.Therefore, this article takes the Lushan hot spring tourism as theissue, by means of do reseach about the presentation development of Lushan hot spting tourism, develop away that PPT apply to the Lushan hot spring tourism, promote the local hot spring tourism can get a better and faster development.The first chapter of this paper mainly introduced the background, purpose, significance, thinking, anddocuments summary of the research.The second chapter introduced the concept of poverty and PPT and the basic theories of them, The basictheories mainly including the theories of life cycle, multiplier, sustainable development, incomedistribution,community involvement,information asymmetry, and the maximization of welfare.The third chapter discussed the difference of traditional and community model of PPT, and thefeasibility of community tourism model apply for the hot spring tourism;The forth chapther analysed the background of Lushan county and the advantages and disadvantagesof Lushan hot spring tourism via the method of SWOT.The fifth chapter is the core of this paper, discussed the methods of community tourism model apply tothe Lushan hot spring tourism.The sixth chapter is conclusion, summed up the achievement of this paper.
