A Study On Traffic Congestion And Its Countermeasures In Dalian

With the rapid development of the national economy, the urbanization and the increasing amount of the automobile, it has led to the increasing growth demand of our country city road resource for the urban traffic. And as the lack traffic infrastructure in our country, it makes the increasing imbalance between supply and demand of the transportation. Recently, the heavy traffic situation at our big and medium-sized cities has influence the development of the city social and economic. And it is the hot topic about the study on traffic congestion and its countermeasures in home and abroad.In this article, Dalian city traffic is as the case. And it bases on the domestic and international relevant traffic management theory, city actual traffic situation, and economy social and cultural characteristics to give the Dalian city traffic congestion analysis of the caused reasons. Finally, the article is through various researches to give the countermeasure suggestions about the situation of traffic jam in Dalian from the parts of raise the attention of the government, strengthen traffic law enforcement and accelerate traffic infrastructure construction.This article is composed of five parts. In the first chapter, introduction mainly on research background, including domestic, international research, to introduce the definition of traffic congestion and related properties, to dissertation research methods and research content. Chapter II describes successful experience of solving city traffic jams at home and abroad, as well as summing up practical experiences at home and abroad, to provide reference for the fourth chapter study on the countermeasure of Dalian urban traffic congestion. The third chapter puts forward Dalian urban traffic congestion problem and analysis of the causes of the problem. In light of Dalian City geographic characteristics and current situation of urban traffic areas to analysis of the traffic congestion problem in Dalian and to summarize the main causes of urban traffic congestion in Dalian. The fourth chapter is to study on the countermeasure of Dalian urban traffic congestion. Firstly, to tell the basic ideas of solution in Dalian City traffic jams. Secondly, in light of the Chapter II and chapter III analyses and successful experiences in solving city traffic jams at home and abroad, of different reasons about causing the traffic jams out of suggestions. Finally, it is conclusions which is about prospects and summarize the main research and issues to be further research.
