Ningbo Export Trade Technology Spillover Effect Of Empirical Analysis

Many economical theories and empirical tests show that export stimulates economic growth. According to endogenous economic theory, with international technology spillover, export can upgrade the industrial technology, stimulate total factor productivity, and improve the industrial structure.As one of the main ports in china, Ningbo has got a remarkable performance on foreign trade in the past ten years. At the same time, Ningbo’s GDP also has been increased very quickly.This paper wants to testify whether export technology spillover effect exist or not in Ningbo. Based on the review of relevant literature abroad and at home, this paper sets up a theoretical model, makes an empirical analysis,and get the following conclusions:1 Export technology spillover exists in Ningbo’s some manufacture.2 The degree of technology spillover in different manufacture is different, and this difference has no evident connection with what kind of factor intensive industry it is.3 The degree of export’s technology spillover is influenced by the absorbing ability of manufacture or area.4 The study on export’s technology spillover through area section shows no significance here.Finally, this paper gives some policy suggestions on how to improve Ningbo’s export technology spillover based on Ningbo current situation.
