With the accelerated development of society, technological progress brought by R&D has gradually become the core driving force of economic growth. The progress of technological is contributed by the continued investment of R&D resources and the technology spillovers caused by international economic activities, while the international trade and FDI are its main channels. Therefore, take Guangdong ,the forefront area of Chinese economic development,as the research object to explore whether its product style has actually transfer from repeat input of labor and capital elements to the mode of "innovation"driven; To explore the technology spillover effects of international trade and FDI on Guangdong's total factor productivity, has a strongly theoretical and practical significance.Technology spillover effect is the guarantee of sustainable economic and technological upgrading of Guangdong, the empirical results of this paper also can provide references for decision-making departments of Guangdong's government. On the basis of domestic and foreign literature, this paper discusses the theory and mechanism of technology spillover and total factor productivity based on the channel of FDI ,import and export.Secondly, based on the Malmquist DEA index method, this paper estimate the total factor productivity of 21 cities in Guangdong province, and analyzes the regional differences and changes in the period of 2000-2014.Finally,based on the research and development analysis of import and export trade, FDI and provincial R&D , this paper analyzes the influence of technology spillovers on total factor productivity by combining theory with the empirical analysis, and puts forward corresponding policy suggestions for promoting the total factor productivity, import and export and FDI structure in Guangdong Province. The empirical results show that the spillover effect of import and export technology in Guangdong Province is positive, and the inflow of FDI has a crowding effect on the local market in Guangdong,.The independent R&D capital has hindered the improvement of technological promotion. This conclusion is strengthened by dynamic model.
