The central idea of growth pole theory is todevelop entire area by choosing appropriate growth poles and reinforcing them inbackward area.Firstly, the author research on the main content and the effect analysis of growthpole theory. The author of the thesis think Economic Region in central Guizhoushould adopt the growth pole strategy based on the analysis of the regionalenvironment and industry development status of Economic Region in centralGuizhou.Then, we studied the cases of growth pole development at home and abroad. Thecases include the failure reason of Italian growth pole strategy; the success indevelopment of the western region of the United States, the success in development ofPudong New District and liangjiang New District. These cases can provide a usefulinspiration for development of Economic Region in central Guizhou.Finally, the author chooses Economic Region in central Guizhou growth poles,and describes industrial growth poles by qualitative analysis; provide a usefulinspiration for construction of Economic Region in central Guizhou growth polesstrategy.The author believes the“classified multiple echelons growth pole guidingstrategy”should be adopted on Economic Region in central Guizhou.
