China serves as the biggest developing country, since the reform and open policy economic construction has made great achievements, but at the same time, facing the problem of region economy difference is more obvious. The development of regional economy difference passes big question, will largely prevents development of market economy, also will affect the harmonious development of regional economy and the overall land use planning scientific formulation and implementation. Located in the central region of Hubei province is a large province of agriculture, its strategic location, good natural conditions, convenient transportation, but also the existence of internal economy between regional development difference. So, research of Hubei province regional economic differentiation (i.e. differences) and coordinated development has very important real sense.As a regional economic system of a subsystem, the economic development of Hubei province characteristic compared with the whole nation has certain similarities, however, also has its own characteristics. Therefore, this paper firstly reviewed at home and abroad on the differences of regional economic theory and the latest research results, and tried on the basis of previous studies, with Hubei the province of the16administrative divisions as the research unit, using the international general measure of the level of economic development of index of GDP of average per capita, analysis of Hubei regional economic development differences the reality, and the use of absolute difference and relative difference evaluation method to the Hubei province inner regional economic development level of the empirical analysis, calculate the specific reflection of Hubei province economy difference degree and the imbalance index. Secondly, because of the variety of spatial distribution of economic activities in the change with time, so this article also specifically try from spatial angle to understand and analysis of regional economic difference, the regional economic statistical analysis and regional geography characteristic combination, based on GIS platform, to the study of regional differences in the interstitial space relationship and spatial characteristics, for difference of contractible region economy to provide decision support.Through the above analysis, finally, based on the Hubei province regional economic differentiation characteristics of the divided into five regions, and in the dynamic component to rise significantly, rise slowly, without change, slow and decreased significantly five types. Finally, the difference that causes:regional natural base differences, regional differences, the differences of the industry structure, market degree difference, the opening degree difference and population differences. Finally, by regression analysis method on the impact of regional economic development in Hubei province exists for each factor are quantitative comparison, have come to differentiation of the main driving force factors, and in the light of these factors, put forward the coordinated economic development of the corresponding countermeasures.
