Since the reform and opening policy,the export trade has made tremendouscontributions to China’s economic growth, but along with the expansion of the scale ofexport trade, China’s carbon dioxide emissions is also growing. The essay based on theprevious studies on how foreign trade affect the the change of carbon dioxide emissions,and divides it into three aspects-economies of scale effect, structure effect, technicaleffect, and it also uses time series models to analyzes the mechanism between China’sforeign trade and carbon dioxide emissions.The essay focuses on the Environmental Kuznets Curve, and d the relationshipbetween China’ foreign trade and carbon dioxide emissions into three parts-the scale effect,structural effect and the technology effect,and they are also the focus and core of the article.First, the article analyzes the expansion of the Chinese carbon emissions caused by theexpansion of the foreign trade, and uses the empirical analysis model to draw therelationship between the foreign trade and the carbon emissions. Secondly, the paperdescribes the relationship between the structure of foreign trade and the carbon dioxideemissions, through theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, come to the conclusion thatboth China’s comparative advantage in the international division and the ensuing“Industrial escape” triggered high carbon of export trade structure. Again, the essay givesan instruction of the technical effect of China’s foreign trade carbon emissions.
