Research On Ecotourism Strategy Of Guangdong Minority Area

To achieve the stable, coordinated, sustainable development in the minority areasrequires not only rapid economic development, greatly people’s quality of life that canbe significantly improved, but also the ecological environment that is not to bedestructed and polluted, minority customs and culture which is be respected andprotected as well. No doubt that the resources are the basis of economic development.There are adequate and full range resources in the minority areas, particularly,abundant of natural and cultural tourism resources. Given to this, ecotourism which isnon-expendable, educational, exploring, is a new tourism that bases on natural andcultural tourism resources. At the same time, its purpose is to makes people toappreciate the beautiful natural landscape, understand the culture and history oftourism, cultivate tourists protecting the environment and respecting local nationalhabits, spur the economic development of local tourism. And then, it can realize thenew tourism system that the unity of the ecological, economic and social benefits.Taking Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County of Shaoguan City, GuangdongProvince for example, this paper analyzes the development of minority eco-tourism inRuyuan County by the means of SWOT. To do this, there is a comprehensiveunderstanding about advantages, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges for thedevelopment of eco-tourism. According to the tourism life cycle theories, ethicaltheory of eco-tourism environment, the theory of environmental economics andsustainable development theory, with the field investigation, documentary research,case analysis, research methods, the author makes the following recommendation forthe development of national eco-tourism in Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County:sustainable development strategy、exquisite strategy、ethical values strategy and talentstrategy.The article includes six parts, the first part discussed in detail researchbackground and significance, research paper layout, research methodology,innovation, and difficulties. The second section summarizes the research trends ofdomestic and international eco-tourism on the national eco-tourism concept, content and development, in particular, the differences from the region and the focus of thenational ecotourism research at home and abroad. The third section analyzes thetheoretical basis of the research, including the tourist destination life cycle theory,eco-tourism environmental ethics, environmental economics and sustainabledevelopment theory. Based on the regional context, the macro and micro economicbackground, tourism resources in the background and the current situation of tourismthe fourth part analyzes the advantages of the Ruyuan national eco-tourismdevelopment, current situation and problems with the use of SWOT. The fifth partmacroscopically describes the overall objectives and specific strategic positions of theRuyuan national eco-tourism, including the economic goals, the tourist area goals,objectives and culture, environmental protection objectives.
