Research On The Level Of Agricultural Modernization In Guangxi

Agricultural modernization is a foundation and important part of the modernization ofthe national economy. Accelerating the development of the agricultural modernization canhelp to ensure food safety, to promote increase of farmers’ income, to strengthen the ruralindustrial supporting system, to promote the process of the construction of new countryside.A document published in2009named “The State Council on further promoting Guangxieconomic social development certain opinions” put forward clearly to accelerate the pace ofthe development of modern agriculture in Guangxi requirements.In this paper, the first step is to collect an analysis the theories about modern agriculturaland the domestic and international research trends, and then, defines the contemporary andbasic characteristics of the modern agriculture. Then system analysis the present situation ofagricultural in Guangxi with a large number of charts. Using system analysis method,frequency analysis, cluster analysis and other methods to select evaluation index, and theindex system is divided into8first level systems, and to determine the specific index of thefirst level system. At the same time, selects multiple index comprehensive evaluation methodto quantitative evaluation the current situation and the development level of modernagriculture in Guangxi based on the full analysis of existing evaluation methods, andjudgments the development trend since1998, the development stage, and the situation ofeach subsystem development. Finally, according to the evaluation results and the actualsituation, sums up the restricting factors, and puts forward countermeasures to accelerate theprocess of development of modern agriculture in Guangxi. This research is divided into8chapters, each chapter as follows:Chapter One, Introduction. Introduces the background, research purposes, significance ofthis paper, and combs the research achievements at home and abroad, and describes theresearch train of thought and method, and points out that the innovations of this paper.Chapter Two, Basic Theory Related Modern Agriculture. This part includes the meaningand features, evaluation theory and method of modern agriculture. This can establishtheoretical basis for the following study. Chapter Three, the Analysis of the Current Situation of Modern Agriculture in Guangxi.Elaborate the current situation of the agriculture in Guangxi from several aspects according todata from1998to2010, such as agricultural material equipments, agricultural output, ruralsocial and economic development, agricultural mechanization, agricultural science andtechnology.Chapter Four, Construction of Evaluation Index System about Modern AgriculturalDevelopment level in Guangxi. According to the connotation and basic characteristics ofmodern agriculture, and on the basis of systematic, comparability, operational principles,selects40second level indicators first, and then, using cluster analysis method to selectionmethod, finally, constructs a set of8first grade indexes,31second level indexes of evaluationindex system.According to the research content and research purposes by comparison, selectsthe multi-index comprehensive evaluation method for comprehensive evaluation, anddetermines the weights by using entropy method.Chapter Five, Comprehensive Evaluation of Development level of Modern Agriculturein Guangxi. Calculates the level of modern agriculture from1998-2010in Guangxi, and findout that the development is slow and it’s still in the initial stage. Uses graphs and tables todepict intuitively the development trend of the overall and each sub system level in modernagriculture in13years.Chapter Six, Analysis of Restrict Element. According to results of measurement and theanalysis of present situation, summarizes the restricting factors.Chapter Seven, Suggestion about Accelerating the Development of Modern Agriculturein Guangxi. According to the results of the evaluation and the analysis of the restrictingfactors, put forward to five suggestions: strengthening the construction of rural infrastructure,development rely on agricultural science and technology, improving the efficiency ofagricultural production, accelerating the pace of urbanization, accelerating the adjustment ofagricultural industrial structural, establishing a reasonable system of agricultural insurance toassessment risk to promote the capacity of risk resistant.
