Timber sale is one of the core content of the forestry enterprises. At present most of the forestry enterprises are still using the traditional sales management system. These timber sales management systems of purchase, sales and storage are still stopped over the stand-alone mode. And they had been unable to meet the demand of forestry enterprises for timber sales management. These management systems have many drawbacks leading to higher costs of timber production and marketing, market information blur and the timber prices easily manipulating and monopolizing by the customer. There are other forestry enterprises sold the timber by a live auction and it achieved a certain effect. However, because of the asymmetry of information, the live auction limited by venue, manpower and material resources. So it did not play the maximum economic benefits of timber. Timber sales had been not finding the most appropriate way. These restricted the development of the timber economy. Against these problems, on the basis of described the traditional timber sales system and the live auction problems, the thesis studied the timber-line auction system and then elaborate the auction way, the design method, the auction process, payment process, modular design of the system function and so on. The implementation of the system expects to improve the management level and increase the economic effects of the forestry enterprises.The thesis development the timber auction system for forestry enterprises using the asp, the dreamweaver technology and combined with the SQL database technology. The design has achieved the function of the online auction on the basis of management systems of purchase, sales and storage. Customers can participate the auction and pay money and then completed all the timber sales process. This thesis did the demand analysis and the overall design of the system and combined with the practical application of the asp platform tools, and B/S system architecture technology. In accordance with the steps of system analysis, the thesis introduced the requirement analysis, functional analysis, module design, database design, page design and the realization of the system. The design achieved the functional modules of user registration and login, searching product browse, participating in the auction, order fulfillment, online payment, inventory inquiries, sales statistics and so on. The study of the timber online auction system has the complete functionality, flexibility and stability.
