Originated in the1980s, Coach theory is from the sports coach and developed into business management as a management tool. After nearly three decades of development, business coach has been from the practical application and qualitative research to research of theory. With the development of economic, organizational innovation become a key factor in the steady development of itself. Business managers, especially the behavior and attitudes of professional managers have a critical influence on the development of organization. At the same time,professional managers’role is also facing changes.The ability of coach should be mastered as one of his abilities. Therefore, based on the previous literature, the article studies the influence on organizational innovation of the coaching behavior of professional managers.Using the organizational climate for innovation as the intermediary variables,the article verifies the dimensions of coaching behavior. Based on the results, article advices to improve the coaching behavior of professional managers, improve organizational climate for innovation and ultimately promote organizational innovation.The article has three parts. The first part sorts out, analyzes and comments the theory about professional managers, coaching behavior, organizational climate for innovation and organizational innovation. Based on the literature, the article proposes the model and the hypothesis. The second part measures the coaching behavior of professional managers and organizational innovation. It analyzes the employees’ aesthesis about the dimensions of coaching behavior with different characteristics. The paper further analyzes the relationship of coaching behavior of professional managers, organizational climate for innovation and organizational innovation.The main conclusions of the article are as follows:First, it verifies the dimensions of coaching behavior and that is authorization, learning, psychological support, career development and role model.Second, the staff with different characteristics have significantly difference in the coaching behavior professional managers.Third, the coaching behavior of professional managers has a significant positive correlation with organizational innovation.Fourth, it verifies the intermediary role of organizational climate for innovation.The main innovations of the article are as follows:First, it verifies the five dimensions of coaching behavior and riches the study about professional managers.Second, the article expands to the impact of coaching behavior of professional managers on the organization level; Third, the article advices to improve coaching behavior of professional managers, to improve the organizational climate for innovation and organizational innovation capability from the organization level, the level of professional managers and personal level.
