China is one of the biggest countries for meat production and consumption in which chilled meat and low temperature meat products are trends for meat consumption. Low temperature logistics is a critical process for storage and transportation of chilled meat and low-temperature meat products. However, few data are available on low-temperature logistics of chilled meat. Therefore, the present study is design to investigate the current of low temperature logistics of meat foods, then to give an assumption, and in the case of Jiangsu Food Group, give a proposal for the construction of low-temperature logistics of meat foods in Yangtze Delta.Chapter1:Introduce the characters and technologe of low temperature logistics.Chapter2:Investigation on the current of low-temperature logistics of meat foods in China. By collecting the related data, a summary is given on meat production and processing in several areas, and then circulation ways of pork consumption, three kinds of low temperature logistics of meat foods in China are listed.Chapter3:An assumption on modes of low temperature logistics of meat foods in China is given from safety assurance, application of information technologies, safety supervision and management. A new mode of low temperature logistics should be based on information technologies, political support and safety supervision.Chapter4:A design for the construction of low-temperature logistics of meat foods in Yangtze Delta was given, including the background and necessities, feasibility analysis, construction scheme and profit analysis.Chapter5:conclusion and advance.
