Zhang put forward in his thought:full develop productivity is the primary task of economic construction, however, also need follow the objective economic law;"equilibrium, steady, coordinated" is the the economic development’s fundamental principle that can not be deviated. At the same time, We want to see a variety of economy of system of ownership coexist and open the market has become the objective demand; economic development’s energy source is come from the people, only the material interests is reasonably distributed can maximum arouse the enthusiasm of the masses. Zhang’s economic construction thought not only from the practice, but also has important guiding significance to practice, and with the characteristic of practice. His thought always standing in the world overall situation angle to analysis and solve the problem, embodies the overall characteristics. Although, Zhang’s thought has some historical limitations, however, his thought has important theoretical value in our country economic thought history and realistic enlightenment.
