| Communication management of software project is to extract, collect, communicate, save and handle relative information in the process of software development. The ultimate aim is to establish effective communication to guarantee efficient and smooth implementation of the software project under conditions of limited range, time and cost.Along with development of technology and update of technical measures, telecommunication service supplied by telecom operators becomes diversified. The purpose is to supply better service and user experience. This leads to enlarging scope of IT systems in telecom industry and increasing its complexity. The related organizations and persons involved in a systematic project become more and more, and management of the whole project process also becomes more complex. In such a context, it sets higher demands for the management of the project.HP company is an IT company in the world’s top500enterprises which supply IT products and IT service to telecom, electric power, finance and manufacture nearly application in all industries, including hardware equipment like server, storage, software system products, IT consulting service and IT project management service. HP CMS China belongs to China HP software group which is a function division specially for national telecom operators. Its main customers are the three national telecom operators and its main task is to supply products and service like software development and implementation, IT management and consultation etc. Since in the context of Chinese telecom industry, system complexity and development difficulty becomes severe, it sets higher demands and challenges to HP CMS group. HP CMS is devoted to a series of effective management methods which can be challenged in project management area, in chich communication management system of software project is an important item. I was ever as a project manager and advanced IT service management consultant in China HP CMS group, and participated in the establishment and implementation of the project, so I choose this topic as the research object and content.The research sequence of this paper is as follows:Firstly, the paper is stating from theory of communication management, combined with the characteristics of software project, the significance and necessity of communication management of software project is put forward, and then key factors are mentioned. Secondly, current conditions of project communication management before system set up in HP CMS is analyzed to look for problems. Used national operator’s life cycle of organization structure and systematic software project for reference, this paper puts forward a communication management system of software project for operators. Lastly, Based on one IT service management platform implemented to an operator in2011to verify actual effect of this system. |
