As an important part of China’s national economy, discrete manufacturingenterprise has had a big scale. But compared with the developed countries, there is stilla big gap. And the backwardness of the level of informatization has seriouslyhampered the efficiency of resource allocation and technology application effect. Atthe same time, with the modernization of business management and the strengtheningof informatization demand, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, as a software,driving and promoting the enterprise’s management level and the information levelhas been introduced into business management by more and more discretemanufacturing enterprises. However, the high failure rate of ERP implementation hasalso been a problem that puzzled the enterprises and academia. As the first step,selection of ERP plays a crucial role in ERP implementation. It was investigated thatmore than half enterprises’ failure in ERP implementation was caused by theunsuccessful of early selection.In this thesis, there will be a detailed analysis of the characteristics of the discretemanufacturing enterprises and risks that could be caused in the selection. And basedon the5S selection method, a detailed selection process was improved and designed inthis thesis which defined the tasks in each stage and the need to pay attention tomatters to control the generation of the risk. Besides, based on the selection of riskanalysis, a more detailed set of discrete selection index system was designed,combining with the triangular fuzzy number and the analytic hierarchy process toconstruct a triangular fuzzy analytic hierarchy process model to determine the weightsof the individual indicators. At the last, the method is proven effective through theactual selection process of one discrete manufacturing enterprise. And this methodwill provide a reference for the discrete enterprise selections.The main result obtained in this thesis is as follows: 1)Make in-depth Analysis on the characteristics of Discrete Enterprises, and thepossible risks during ERP selection (of Objective or Asymmetry InformationRisks), then give prevention and control measures to each risk.2)Combine the5S methods to divide and build the ERP selection stages, giveintroduction of the task of each stage, and provide cautions for each of them.3)Based on previous analysis on objective risks, design a rather detailed indexsystem for the discrete enterprise ERP selection, which has better property ofsynthesis and comprehensiveness.4)Conbined with the Triangle Fuzzy Number, build a triangle fuzzy hierarchyanalytical model, which takes better account of human’s thoughtfuzzification, and has better precision of the index weight confirmation. Thismodel allows precise data during selection quantitative study. Last, thevalidity and practicability are illustrated by examples.
