The Study Of The Wages Of Migrant Workers From The Perspective Of The Marxist Theory Of Labor Value

Migrant workers are a new group of labor force which emergies in the process ofChina’s reform and opening up, urbanization and industrialization.With the development andincreasement of the migrant workers team, they make a special contribution for changingthe rural landscape and have been a tremendous force to promote the process of theindustrialization, Informatization, urbanization, marketization and internationalization of oureconomy and society. Therefore, the survival and development of the migrant workers havebecome not only an important part of building a socialist harmonious society in China, butalso a key indicator to measure the process of China’s harmonious society.In recent years, theCPC Central Committee and State Council attach great importance to the problem of migrantworkers, formulate policies and measures to protect the rights of migrant workers andimprove the employment conditions of migrant workers, all localities and departments havedone a lot of work, and achieved remarkable results. But the problems faced by migrantworkers is still very prominent, especially the question of wages has evolved into the currentsocial hot and difficult problems, affecting the healthy development of China’s nationaleconomy and the urban and rural social stability. We have to stand in the building ofsocialism with Chinese characteristics overall and strategic perspective to fully understandthat it is important,urgent and long term to thoroughly solve the wages problem of migrantworkers.Wage theory is about the wage levels of the workers for a certain period of time and theirchanges, as well as the theoretical explanation of the general laws of the wage differencesamong different groups of workers. Among foreign wage theories, Marxism-wage theoryshould be the most classic and Marx’s discussion on the market wage formation and thedecision mechanism is very insightful.With the growing of migrant workers team in China, there are more and more sdutiesabout the problem of migrant workers in China’s thoretical circle. As to the focus of thestudies, domestic scholars’ research is mainly related to the employment of migrant workers,wages, social welfare, consumption and urban adaptation, among which there are a lot ofpapers about the wages of migrant workers However, there are few coming from the point ofview of Marx’s theory of labor value.and yet some fragment views without forming a complete theoretical system about migrant workers’ wages. Therefore, there isstill much spacefor the integrity mechanism on the wages of migrant workers from the perspective of Marx’slabor theory of value.Combined with the concrete practice in China’s economic transition period, the creativedevelopment and application of the Marxist theory of labor value and wage have importanttheoretical and practical significance on solving the wages problem of migrant workers inChina. Based on the Marxist theory of labor value, through a specific analysis of the wagesstatus of migrant workers and the reasons to these problems, this paper creatively put forwardmethods and suggestions to solve the problems of migrant workers’ wages from four aspectssuch as the decision mechanism for wages of migrant workers, the formation mechanism, theregulatory mechanism and supervision mechanism.This article is divided into five chapters, the first chapter of the paper is about thebackground, significance and value of this research,and the studies on the problems ofmigrant workers’ wages. In Chapter II of this article, the concept and theory about theMarxist labor value are explained and analyzed to establish the theoretical basis for improvingthe wages of migrant workers mechanism. In Chapter III, analyze the labor value of migrantworkers in China according to the specific characteristics of our Migrant Workers,and thenecessitity of establishing the wage mechanisms. In Chapter Ⅳ the overall situation of thewages of migrant workers in China is analyzed in detail through charts and datas; ChapterⅤclarifies the suggestions to solve the problems of migrant workers’ wages.from four aspectsincluding the decision mechanisms, the formation mechanism, regulation and oversightmechanisms for wages of migrant workers.
