Agricultural land, which plays an irreplaceable role in human’s life, is an important part ofthe land resources and the main body of agricultural production. In recent years, with the growthof population, the rapid development of economy, and the high speed of urbanization, the needof land is dramatically increasing, thus leading to a series of problems such as, the reduction, pollution, degradation of agricultural land, the lack of fund, science and technology indeveloping agricultural land, the imperfection of agricultural land management system, theinefficient utilization of agricultural land and so on. Facing the new and complex situation andguaranteeing economic growth, valuing people’s livelihood, ensuring social stability, in order tomeet the growing population and national economy development’s demand of agriculturalproducts, we should make good use of the limited and reducing agricultural land and ensure thenumber of agricultural land. At the same time, we should realize intensive use of agriculturalland, and then promote the ecological system of agriculture to develop circularly and orderly.Directed by Scientific Outlook on Development and based on Man-Land CoordinateTheory, strictly protecting arable land and efficiently using agricultural land as the core, somedetailed suggestions and measures of increasing operation rate are proposed by using ElectronicData Processing and Analysis System, i.e. SPSS,GIS etc., Entropy Method, Multi-ObjectiveComprehensive Evaluation Method and Cluster Method. According to the detailed statisticalmaterials of utilization of arable land in counties in Guangxi, the paper analyzes intensive use ofagricultural land on the dominance ratio of agricultural products by aggregated advantage index.Protection of arable land, intensive use of agricultural land, diagnosis of obstruction factors arealso represented in my thesis. The results display:(1) when evaluates intensive use of agricultural land, the criterionindexes’ weight orders are as follows: combined efficiency> utilization intensity>comprehensive benefit> investment degree. While we can also see the following order incombined efficiency: use intensity> plough land efficiency> comprehensive benefit> watersefficiency> garden plot efficiency> forestland efficiency> investment degree;(2) There is an obvious regional diversity on intensive use of agricultural land in all counties and cities inGuangxi, and these differences are mainly due to physical environment, location, economy level, utilization degree, the systems and policies and so on. All the factors are influential upon theintensive use of agricultural land. So the most important thing we should do is to take actionsthat suit local conditions to raise available efficiency of land resources respectively, maximizingthe advantages of each region in intensive use of agricultural land and minimizing the intensityof obstruction factors;(3) Viewed from the spatial framework, intensive use of agricultural land,in Northwestern Guangxi is in a lower level generally, while it is a little higher in Southeast. However, the overall intensive use of agricultural land, is in keeping with the physicalenvironment i.e. landform, water resources etc. and the economy level.
