With the rapid development of cities, the existing power grid constructions are often not able to meet the needs of the city’s rapid economic development, which requires the construction of new power grid to fulfill the rapid development of the city under the growing demand for electricity. Increasing social progress and national sustainable development strategy in the implementation of construction projects for power grid construction projects put forward a new request, that take full account of the sustainability of grid construction, Including grid construction projects during the construction of sustainability and put into operation after completion during two stages sustainability in relation to the power grid construction project of the sustainability of some important aspects, which mainly contain capital adequacy during project construction, power supply capacity, the profitability of the grid, power grid construction and urban economic development coordination, etc. At present, there is no mature theory and methodology for reference and learning in the evaluation of sustainability in power grid in our country construction projects. Therefore, paper has attempted some research on this area.The thesis has researched the sustainability of power grid construction projects from four areas of sustainability, contains the project’s compatibility with the environment, technological sustainability, economic rationality and social coordination and power grid construction projects, used reasonable methods to identify the sustainability of the project evaluation indicators combining with the actual situation of power grid construction projects, built sustainability evaluation system based on the principles of index system, and then elaborate the elements contained in each index and its impact on sustainability. The thesis has combined gray system theory and AHP to build sustainability evaluation methods-Gray-level analysis for power grid construction projects, and made full use of the advantage of whitening weight function and information in dealing with uncertain benefits in sustainable power grid construction projects evaluation. According to the calculated value of comprehensive evaluation of sustainability of projects, power grid construction projects with sustainability criteria to determine the level of the project’s sustainability. Paper has quoted an example to verify the reasonable of the sustainability index system and the validity of the model. Finally, the thesis put forward some suggestion and reference on the sustainability of construction projects for the construction of the project decision-making and provide.
