County In Shanxi Province Urbanization Level Comprehensive Evaluation And The Analysis Of Regional Difference

Urbanization is an important sign of social progress and regional economic development, it is not only the inevitable trend of social economic development, but also the basis for regional development policy-making. Therefore, this paper applied systematic scientific theories and methodologies to83counties of Shaanxi province, including human-economic geography, regional economics and geography information science. A systematic study of spatial disparities of comprehensive evaluation in Shaanxi Province was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively.(1) The rapid social economic development from2000to2010of Shaanxi province has greatly promoted the urbanization process, and the regional difference is obviously. The regional urbanization level in northern Shaanxi is the highest, then, is Guanzhong region, the lowest is the south of Shanxi.According to the level of urbanization types, the highest level counties distribution in Guanzhong region and northern Shaanxi, the higher level counties distribution in three regions, the middle level counties distribution in Guanzhong region and southern Shaanxi, the low level counties distribution in southern Shaanxi.(2) With the principal component analysis method to determine the influential factors of regional urbanization, the paper analysis all influential factors, the results show:northern Shaanxi get a high score in Population structure-economic development factor, but lower in Human settlement environment factor; Guanzhong region get an average score in all the three factors; southern Shaanxi get a high score in Human settlement environment factor, but lower in Population structure-economic development factor and Urban infrastructure construction factor, which is the important factor restricting the development of regional urbanization in southern Shaanxi.(3) Finally, give some suggestions as follows:Efforts should be made to improve the living environment and the natural ecological surroundings in northern Shaanxi; Guanzhong region should not only to develop the satellite towns but also to ensure their equal access to basic public services; In order to promote the regional urbanization level, more efforts should be made to encourage the transference of rural population to town in southern Shaanxi, moreover, develop the advantageous feature industries to strengthen the regional economies.
