The importance of organizational citizenship behavior(OCB)to organizations aresupported by many researches. These achievements are used in organizational performance,personnel management policy, organizational requirements and many other aspects. OCB hasa significant effect to job satisfaction, justice, organizational commitment, leader support andto the performance of the whole organization potentially.In the management practice, how to stimulate the employees’ OCB is the focus ofenterprise and academia. The former research has found some factors that influence the OCB,such as leader behavior, job characteristic and individual factor. Recent research has foundthat the emotional intelligence (EI) has provided a new viewpoint to explain the people’sbehavior in an organization. Recently, researches abroad on the relationship of EI and OCBincreased, while there are a few researches in China on this topic. Therefore, this paperexplores the influence of EI on OCB of hotel employees in China.On the basis of related research achievements in China and abroad, this research choosesthe hotel staff as sample in Guangzhou to research the relationship between EI and OCB. Thisresearch project is divided into four steps: first, on the basis of previous studies, this paperestablishes the initial model of EI and OCB. Second, reference the scales and modify themthrough interview and pretest. Third, issue a formal questionnaire and analyze data with SPSS17.0to verify the four-dimensional model of EI and the five-dimensional model of OCB, thenuse the Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression method, also discuss the influenceof demography variables and organization variable to EI and OCB and the relationship.Fourth, the paper put forward the shortage and the future research direction.Through an empirical research analysis, this paper concluded a lot of effective results,supplement the "EI-OCB" relationship, and provide theoretical reference or guidance to theemotional management for hotels.
