Shower Enclosure is the new product which is the same popular as closestool, faucet andshower furniture.The four shower products become an indispensable shower appliances in ourdaily life.This article will focus on development process control for shower enclosure,throughthe investigation of the shower enclosure development from the marketing reseach to theproduct launch,it is easily found that the behind schedule cases are serious.As the competition among many brand sanitarywares becomes more and moreseriously,many brand sanitaryware factory are concious of the necessities for making moreinvestment on human resource and capital to speed up development and shorten the PPAPlead time.The reality is the winner of marketing share is who can launch the samples earlier atfirst earlier time.If the project development process is behind the schedule, the result is thefactory will lose the market share in an ideal time.This article focus on the shower enclosure’s feature and existing problems, meanwhileapply WBS、Grantt chart and CPM to assure the shortest development rounte for showerenclosure.Through analysing the actual delay cases from Year2008to Year2009, andcomparing working date of planned and actual,it is easier for us to find out the delay roots,and get out the solution ways for the projects correspondingly.From the other side,it will be very unilateral to get the reason from the real cases. Thus,we will combine the Questionnaire method and Brainstorming method to investigate thepotential delayed roots in reality.Then, we can get the method on how to improve thedevelopment process from communication、resources、management and staffing.Finally, we can get the investigation result from2009to2010projects, and verify theactual effectiveness after implementing improved measures.It is proved that the PPAP leadtime has been effectively controlled, and the delay proportion decreased. This proves that themethods for shower enclosure development control is not only effective for shower, and alsofor other product line’s improvement.
